With the discontinuation of Step 2 CS, it is important to discuss the future of clinical skills assessment, particularly as medical schools shift toward competency-based approaches. As members of the California Consortium for the Assessment of Clinical Competence (CCACC), we will facilitate a discussion of opportunities/challenges in clinical skills assessment.
